Lance Schoening
Director of Federal Government Relations, Retirement and Income Solutions – Principal
Based in Washington, D.C., Lance is responsible for analysis of proposed and new retirement legislation and regulation and advocacy efforts in conjunction with industry trades to promote policies that support retirement readiness efforts. He also serves as a policy board member of the American Benefits Council and as Chairman of the Retirement Plans Committee of the American Council of Life Insurers.
Mark West
National Vice President, Business Solutions – Principal
Mark specializes in business owner planning, key employee benefit plans, and business protection planning. He consults on plan design, tax, and legal issues and is also called upon as a technical resource for members of Congress on tax issues related to key employee benefits, business succession planning, and life insurance. Prior to joining Principal, Mark represented clients in tax, probate, estate planning, and business planning matters. He has also served on ACLI Federal Taxation – Products Committee, Life Insurance Taxation Committee, LUTC Advanced Business Planning Committee, and LIMRA Advanced Sales Committee.
